My Design Journey

My first informal introduction to designing user experiences was through my education in Recreation Therapy. Through leading and creating therapy programs, I learned to navigate through the nuances of creating an inclusive and safe space.

After learning from Occupational, and Speech therapists, I was enamored by the creative methods used to help patients achieve their goals. I learned to think creatively, using sports and games as a way to provide structure, increase communication, and build teamwork with at-risk youth and adults.

Product Operations allowed me to work on my technical and project management skills, as well as cross-functional collaboration and process improvement.

The blend of my experiences has taught me to prioritize a user-first mentality, efficient workflow, and ultimately improving quality of life.
